If its stock then pancake rock is out of the question. Even with my small lift and 33's i take a few hits. Deer Springs would be the place to go. Do you have AT's?

New owner of a stock 2014 Trail (has KDSS) - I'm in the Shadowridge area (that part of town that can't decide if it's Vista or Carlsbad)... would love to go get the rig dirty on a day trip!

Also, I'll post up if I can swing a trip out to the Mud Caves with a buddy of mine anytime soon (a Taco owner - we used to go out there all the time, may be getting too hot now for that though...)

Never hit Welk/Deer, would love to go try that out sometime. Used to take my '08 Tacoma out to Glamis and Ocotillo (and the Mud Caves) a lot.

I live in Ramona, not much for hard trails here but I've seen 2 bob cats out on the trail �� got some pictures of it lookin at us, it was awesome. Also saw thousands of meteors here during the meteor showers.

Well at least you are closer to the desert and the Palomar divide trail I guess

And awesome on the meteors. I got a nice scope setup but can't use it much at home. Would be awesome to live someplace darker...

Next time just make the short drive up the 78 to w havenford (beginning of the turn at the top of 78 when it curves right and goes by that church) follow that to pamo rd and if you go out that road there's a few old trails that goto santa ysabel. I like driving them and checking out the wildlife an such.

If you guys are on Facebook you should join San Diego 4Runners. We try to meet up once a month and do the trails and usually every weekend someone is looking for people to go wheeling with. Here is the link:
