SantaCruzRunner's Build thread.

Dont get rid of it. You will regret it. I sold my Tacoma for a 350z before the runner. I only had the Z for a year and got rid of it because I was so limited in the things I could do with it. Ended up in the 5th Gen and wont look back. Would I like to get a sports car again? Sure but I will not get rid of my 4runner.

Why are you selling it?
not selling it
good thing your runner is a still a wheeling virgin, otherwise it be hard to sell.
*well taken care of*

i really dont want to get rid of it. believe me its the last thing i want to do. i just dont have any money, nor a job to make any. ive wanted to race my whole life. my first birthday was at laguna seca. if find a job soon and start making money then i will keep my runner. i plan on keeping it until something major goes wrong with it. (engine, tranny.)

pardon me for just simply looking :moon: :violin:

On that note im back to preparing to leave for the pismo jamboree

Good luck with that. My buddy's been racing 2 towns over from me for about 5 years now, started when he was 11 or 12. He drives SK Lights, and is beating the guys that have done it for 20-30 years lately. It's definitely a great career, just stay safe with it.

thanks for the support man.
im trying everything i can to keep the runner.

Pismo was so awesome, for my first time out it was so fun!!

Hey Santa Cruz runner, your 96 looks good! I just bought a 96 with 182K on the clock 4 days ago. When you bought yours, did you do any kind of preventive maintenance to eliminate engine sludge or what not. I'm in San Jose, would love too hook up and maybe see if you have parts to swap, mine is stock and in a real need of customization. I really like what you did to your truck.

hey thanks a lot!! when i bought mine it just had a tune up. so nothing was really needed. let me know when. im always down to meet new 4runner guys :thanks: and welcome to the site.

Thanks, I ran a car fax and obtain service records from the dealership it was serviced at. So i have so what of an idea of what shape its in. But i feel it lacks a little power for a V6. I wouldn't mind meeting some 4runner enthusiast, could definitely use more knowledge. Might be heading your way Wednesday or Thursday...maybe you can helpe further devirginize her. I know a few dirt roads in the SC mountains, but nothing real enough to flex. Lol
