SantaCruzRunner's Build thread.

Ok so ive been having the probmlem of when i get home and turn off the truck and go to take my key out it wont go all the way to the off position. i have to turn it back on and go from park to drive and back over and over until it comes out.
anybody ever have this problem? do i need to replace where the key goes? it all started after i had the torque converter done a while back.

It's pretty common to have tumbler problems on our ignitions. I'm at the point where if I take my key out, the tumblers wont accept my key and I can't start it.

My quick fix for you is to just jiggle the key in and out while turning counterclockwise and eventually your key will come out, but I'm stressing eventually because it's taking me over a half hour of jiggling my key for it to do anything. It's not a cheap fix to replace the ignition to match your key.

I haven't fooled with it on these runners but I bet your park switch is going out. It should be a switch at the gear selector that isnt engaging and the ecu still thinks it is in not fully in park.

Hey Man, what paint did you use on your flares and side panels with? Really like the look. Did you use the same for that cowl?

Thanks
