Looking for a shop that is close by MID-GA area. I have the resources and shop to do this just no time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You do realize the $$$$-$$$$$ that's going to cost you right?
Is there a particular reason you want to go SAS? A lot of people think they want to do this until they see the price tag attached to it. Not the mention the amount of work, lack of mpg's, amount of work, and money. Sure you can do this for under $5k on your own, and that's being VERY thrifty. I'd hate to see what a shop's going to charge to do that.
WORK-HARD=PLAY-HARD, cant take it with you when you gone.
I have a Solid front axle already to go. Chromoly shafts upgraded berfields fairly new warn lock outs. Lok-rite quik lok locker. Have a new gear box and high steer kit and all the linkage from a previous set up on another truck. Only thing i think i should have to purchase i would up grade is to the ORI shocks. Figured 2 grand on install. I done the set up on a 95 toyota pickup just done the leafs. I have all the equipment to do it just not the time. Would have to up grade gears to 5.29s in rear and do an ARB locker or ELocker.
So you have a toyota passenger drop axle and you want to put it on your 3rd gen?
What axle do you have?
He's got an 84/85 toyota axle and passenger drop tcase.
topless87 you might look into a yukon zip locker in the rear, my buddy (who built that white 3rd gen on 54's) has been installing a bunch in various dana axles and people are liking them a lot - they're very strong and I think a bit cheaper than an ARB. Hit me up if you want to get some RCV's in there too and make sure to post some pics when you get this thing started!

My Donor truck was a 85 4runner. Have pondered on doubling the t cases, but not done much research on that.
