satellite radio free trial...how long?

Hi, does anyone know how long the free trial satellite radio is good for? I bought my T4R since July of this year and I can still listen to satellite radio stations. The dealer told me I get 3 months of free trial. I wonder if they forget to end my free trial. I'll just Keep quiet for now, hehe...

Log on to SiriusXm website and click the "have a trial subscription" button. Then click the "subscribe now" (even if you don't want to) and plug in your VIN.

Once you plug your VIN in it should give you a profile before you have to sign up for anything else. You will see when your, no more free radio, cut-off date is!

Bought my 2011 TE in August, site says Im good till Feb of 2012!!! Sweet!

3 Month trial when you purchase from the dealer. Some people have also been lucky and haven't had their services cut.

Just as long as you didn't provide a credit card when purchasing the vehicle, you should be fine. I hope that they didn't sign you up for a yearly subscription without you knowing.

I enjoyed it in my vehicle when I had it, but now I just use bluetooth streaming and Pandora.

My free trial lasted for 6 months. I did not signup for CAD$129.99 for annual subscription being offered by XM Canada. I will just buy music online and add it to my music library

Ugh, mine ends tomorrow. After countless attempts to get me to re-up, I don't think I'm going to. Not enough time spent in the 4R daily to justify the cost. No price incentive from them either.

I guess I should have waited til it ran out instead of calling them right before the 3 months were up....I was getting renewal notices that it was expiring...so who knows. Since then I have done 24 bucks for 5 months and just renewed at 32 for 6 months but upgraded to ALL channels (plus package)...It would have been 27 for 6 months for what came with the 4 runner (everything package?). That does include taxes and licensing. :lookout:

You can get it for $84 with taxes for a year. Just call them and ask for this. I just did this on my 11 Avalon. I told them my freind just got this package and they instantly said I could do it also.

That's the 77 a yr plan, regular package, not the plus, so 27 for 6 months will save u more, they will give you that if you ask.

LOL, me too (bought Jan 2010 also). How sweet is this? When will it end? Who knows... Enjoying it for now though. I'd recommend if you are in the same boat that you NOT check the status of your subscription online!

Hopefully it's such a large company that we'll just fall through the cracks. Finding the same thing with my 2012 Mustang. Guess the satellite gods are looking after me!

I'm dreading the time I have to make a decision. Probably will only renew one car if any. Both have USB and Bluetooth for audio playback, so at least I wouldn't be relegated back to CDs, but so much variety and new music discoveries to be had with Satellite.

Advice from dealer when I picked up my long-awaited 2013 TE yesterday (yay!) was to ignore the first bill after free trial period. That one will typically be the $12-15/month offer. The second attempt to get you to sign up will be about 30 days later and will be $6.99/mo. No idea if this is accurate or if people have had same experience, but that was the scoop yesterday.

I was told by Sirius XM that I had a 2 year trial with my 2011 bought Feb this year...same as what Stifler just said I guess. Still kicking as well...should be until Feb 2014, woohoo!!!

When they called me and asked if I wanted to sign up I asked for how much. The person asked me if I had checked their website for prices. I had, which were $15 a month, but I explained I've seen on the Internet where people have gotten the same deals for $25 for 6 months.

Long story short. I'm paying $25 +tax every 6 months.

Side Note: It's too expensive considering I listen to maybe 5 stations, but I'll sign up again when the time comes.
