If you can listen to a satellite preview channel and/or have a satellite ID number displayed then you just have to activate it.

004gunner, After reading the manual I tried to see if I could tune into channel 000 on the radio to get my satellite ID number and was unable to. I also cannot listen to a satellite preview channel. Do you have any suggestions on where I can get a sirius reciever for my vehicle ?

If you plan to install it yourself then I would recommend Crutchfield.com. They have outstanding customer service and support. Sonicelectronix.com is good too and almost always cheaper, I just don't know how their support is because I never needed it.

yeah... Crutchfield is unsurpassed. The install is fairly simple though... if you search around you can find what you need on these forums. That will allow you to find the cheapest prices on the net. I've installed several units on mine. Sportster 4 and 5 via direct FM and USA Spec device. Plus my latest H/U I installed the direct model for Sirius. All is fairly simple. Let me know if you need help.

Thanks for the quick response, I am somewhat clueless when it comes to the electronics and devices needed for satellite radio. In order to make my toyota navigation able to display and play sirius satellite radio what part or parts would i need to purchase?

The easiest thing to do is goto Crutchfield and do the "fit my car" wizard. Basically telling them exactly what you have and the will come up with all the parts you will need.

This is one of the reasons that they are so good; they tell you exactly what's needed. You're only going to need the satellite receiver (they're pretty small), a satellite antenna, and a cable that is compatible with your factory stereo to connect your stereo to the satellite receiver. The satellite radio info would then be displayed on your stereo.

You need a tuner and fit kit. XM or Sirius, whichever you prefer. I installed sirius in my wife's '06, not too bad of a job, 4 or 5 hours. You get these from a Toyota dealer, the online ones will probably be a lot cheaper than your local dealer. Seems like I paid around $250 - $300 for mine.
