Satoshi Grill Mod

I decided to add the Satoshi Grill Mod to my truck a few months ago. I am pretty happy with the result.

This is not the same as a normal "grill mod" - the Satoshi mod is from a poster on YotaTech. In order to do the mod you need to insert a blacked out mesh grill and a Toyota FJ Cruiser "TOYOTA" logo.

I took a little different approach to mine. I cut everything out of the center then got the metal gutter guard. I roughly trimmed it to be slightly larger than the opening. Once everything was lined up i followed the edge with a propane torch and melted the gutter guard into the plastic and cooled it with water every couple inches. It looks great and there are no zipties or anything like that to bother with.

hmm, I was going to just plastidip my grille but now you all have me thinking...this is like when I used to replace the stock VW grilles for kaimei mesh ones...

Its cheaper to make it yourself, and not too difficult. I've made a few of them for others, and charge a lot less than "Homer" does. I think you'd enjoy doing them...I did.
