Old thread - just moved to Maine and stumbled across this... I'm from the west coast desert and never had to worry about salt on the road. I'm talking to a shop about cleaning up the undercarriage and coating or painting it - what do you folks recommend? I've got a 99 that's in rough shape, but I love it and plan on keeping it running for a long time if I can... rolled it once, still kickin'
So - should I just clean underneath and throw some rustoleum on there? or is there some benefit to powder-coating? Or is that just for your rims...
Hello Maine! More from me soon hopefully, 3 month old is yelling at me that it's play time =) cheers!
