School me on ifs "flex"

Specifically how does one have "easier" up travel when going over rocks and off roading in general? its more than just a softer shock/coil combo I imagine. Taking off away bar etc. what else plays a factor to gain this up travel so the vehicle doesn't look as tippy going over obstacles

depends what kind of equipment you have on your truck. stock, 600lb springs would be appropriate. plate bumper/winch, 650lb are appropriate. plate bumper and a winch, 700lb are appropriate.

if you're really concerned with soaking up bumps, I'd look at getting a higher end coilover with dampening adjustment. this will allow you to dial it down for high speed off road, and back up again for city driving. I just don't think you're going to get the kind of off road performance you're looking for from a bilstein while still keeping the truck drive-able on pavement.

Not to worried about high speed off road but more for being able to help level out the body while the ifs is flexed for more stability on the rocks. Pic for reference.

Your bump stops are a problem for up travel also. And of course the CV's will only flex so far.

Remove front sway bar.
That's about it, unless you want to spend a ton of money for a long travel setup.

The maximum droop you can get out of the front suspension without going long travel is with an extended travel/mid travel setup: aftermarket UCAs, extended travel coilovers, ditch the front sway bar.

For the rears, not much you can do without changing the geometry of the rear suspension links. The Metal Tech LT rear setup is about the max droop you can get out of the suspension in its regular configuration: extended length shocks, springs, lower bumpstops, longer brake lines, and changing out the links.

I'd just remove the front swaybar, or look into detachable end links (there was a prototype on the forum a while back IIRC). See how far that gets you. If you're still not happy with the flex, you could be the first 5th gen guy to do a solid axle swap!
