New Ride Thread
I bought my 4Runner at the end of January. It was a Craigslist find and [MENTION=67746]Brentif[/MENTION] ran the CARFAX for me while [MENTION=91297]Kraze[/MENTION] offered to test drive it with me. It was cool to see the support, thanks guys! After texting back and forth for the morning she says it's sold and I'm bummed. :moping: The next day, I get a call from her that the first guy flaked and I can have a shot at it. :guitar3: I called my buddy and took off!
Turns out it was owned by a Japanese guy for the first 14 years, he sold it to his mechanic when he left the country and he sold it to the lady I ended up buying it from. The only major gripe is the paint. There was some oxidation and this lady tried to fix it with some black spray paint. I guess it will make pin striping on the trail a little easier to take, though! I'll update this first post as I go as a kind of dashboard for it's current state.
This is going to be fun, but my pace is going to be slower than something that is really slow. Don't hold your breath.
