The projectors looks great! You're the first person I've seen who did the swap for a price I can stomach. One more project to add to the list...
Yeah I'm surprised at how affordable it was in the end. I might run into issues with the ballasts, but everything is working flawlessly now, so no complaints. As I said, these are not the top tier of projectors, but for someone wanting a bit more output they work amazing.
Looks great SCRunner! I bet your loving that cut-off and improved light output more than anything... the stock T4R lights SUCK! The black looks great with your color scheme.
Too bad on my baking recipe... I've never chipped a 4Runner lens before, maybe it's my secret prying technique? lol Like you said, every oven acts different. What housings did you go with? In my experience OEM and TYC are the easiest 3rd gen housings to open up.
Glad you figured out the bulb retainer, def different than I've ever used on the H1. Did you end up getting more re-sealing glue in there?
I absolutely loving the cutoff and especially the purple/blue color at the top of the cutoff. It looks so sweet and really cool to see exactly where your light ends rather than scattered all over the place like the OEM.
I bet you do have a special prying technique. Also my oven is electric which may be a factor. Not really sure, but 300 was the sweet spot and the second headlight worked like a charm. I was using my OEM headlight so who knows.
Yeah that bulb retainer threw me for a loop, but it worked in the end. Hopefully I can help someone else later on. I didn't end up getting more glue as I couldn't find some at my local stores. I checked it and with the little rain we had there was no moisture. I'll probably add some silicone into the gap to help seal it up a bit more.

Congrats on the successful retrofit, SCR! I think they look great, especially considering the budget.
Like several of the other guys have said, with that price tag, a retrofit is something I might actually consider doing. I'm sure you'll be getting some PM's on the whole thing.

Thanks! It really worked out in the end in all factors. I've always wanted to do this one and it finally made sense budget wise. I'd be happy to help answer any questions and can help point out some potential mistakes that I made along the way.
I was planning on getting some today as the light yesterday was too reflective, but it rained all day today. I'll have some tomorrow though. My clear corners look a bit goofy now though, so we'll see what I end up doing with those.
