If you are using aftermarket seat heater elements, you will most likely only have the two positions on the included switch - Low & High.
I would wire pin 2 of the OEM switch to the "high" side, so the internal resister will adjust the output. The only difference on the aftermarket element is, that resister should be built in to the element (not the switch) for the low side, and is non-adjustable (just a set value for one temp).

Curious as to why you took these seat heater switches out of your T4R - are you using something else or do you just have no need for seat heaters down in Texas?
I'm not interested in the switches themselves, but would be interested in another part of the seat heater that is located under the seats - it is a control module (sub-assembly) with a Toyota part number 87501-60010.
Let me know if you can help me out

Sorry Bossman, I can't help with the other parts. I bought these switches because I wanted to install seat heaters in the back seat as well. That just never came to fruition. My son grew up and I don't really have any one else riding in back other than the dogs now. I usually just keep the back seats folded down.
Since it's harder for both my parents, and my in-laws to get in to the 4Runner, we generally take our other car when / if we are going somewhere.

Hey Bossman. Your post peaked my curiosity LOL. After reading it again, I was thinking, I don't remember seeing any other components in the wiring diagram other than the switches and elements... So I rechecked, and no sub-assembly.
Are you looking for these for a Lexus? That part number listed seems to be a Lexus part number, and is actually used in many Lexus models. However, I couldn't find anything having to do with our 4Runners.
As I said, my curiosity got the best of me, but I'm more than willing to learn something new if you have knowledge of it being on our rides.

EDIT: I DID just find a ref for ordering the part for a 4Runner (2004). I don't have time to look under my seats right now in mine. It's just very odd that it's not shown in any wiring schematic... If the sub-assembly plugs into anything, it would have a connector, which means contacts, and pin-out diagram. The only components in the diagram are the switches, some junction connectors, the seat heaters, and the power fuses.
The only thing I can think of is maybe the part of the Element that I've circled is the sub-assembly. But again, I would expect if it is a separate unit from the element, that it would be shown separately, and with contacts, connectors, & pinout.
Sorry for the tangent, just enjoy trying to figure this crap out. Anyway Still for sale! LOL

My driver's side seat heater is not working, and my mechanic traced the problem back to this control module. Switch between the seats in the console works fine, as does the heating element.

Old part number 87501-60010 has now been superseded by 87501-0E020. It is used in various Toyota and Lexus models.
