Seattle area 4Runner Meet Up anyone?

That was a helluva game. They actually broadcasted here on satellite TV live in the Middle East, so I was able to watch it with my wife. It was INSANE that ending, especially when I thought Kam's penalty followed by missed tackle gave the game away. Pretty awesome.

Lol. I wish. I'm just one of those eternal optimists when it comes to Seattle sports. Which is funny because in almost everything else, I'm pretty pessimistic. I think I even figured out ways to convince myself that both Dan McGuire and Rick Mirer were going to be HOF quarterbacks for the Hawks. Or that we had a chance going into the '96 finals with the Bulls (which I still consider a championship for us taking them to 6 games!). Honestly, I never thought we'd win one in my lifetime, so anything from here on out is gravy!
Carolina is going to be a tough one, but it's the game I've wanted all year. Most people expected us to win Sunday, even if we were on the road. But Carolina has been the best all year. Battle of two teams who are built very similar. Hopefully Lynch can get back. We needed him in the 4th. We should have lost Sunday's game the same way we lost many games this year. Not because our D gets soft or something, but because our O can't close out the 4th. When they needed at least one first down or two to finish the game, they go three and out. I almost feel better in that situation with the ball being down 1.

I am stoked for the Carolina game. Same here, Ive wanted to see this but was hoping for the NFC Championship game but Ill take it. We do need beast mode back and hopefully Luke Willson as well. We are a different team than the last time we played them and I don't doubt we can win. Just glad itll be warmer than -4* this time!

Looking for anyone with a Grey or/and Black RS3000 fob
hey, Any of you guys in the Seattle Area: does anyone have the VIP RS3000 system?
I bought our 97 4runner with the alarm, but no remotes. I'd like to determine, once and forever, if I need the Grey or Black Fob.
I'd love to meet up with someone so I can solve this.

FWIW, I have a '98 Tacoma with the factory RS3000 alarm. My remotes are dark grey in color with an FCC ID of BAB237131-022. I also found a link to the owner's manual. Hope this helps you out.

I found the manuals on it, but the clarification is when does the Black Fob end and the Grey Fob start? None of the threads (and there are many) can delineate that, nor any of the manuals. Thanks for the info on what yours has though. From what I'm reading and piecing together the 97 is the end of the Black Fob and 98 started the Grey fob.

Has a couple people with your same issue. They, too, had '97 T4R's. I think one guy made mention of buying the black remotes for his system. He initially had issues programming, then he decided to do an erase of all remotes. After that, he was able to program the new remotes. Another guy purchased a new RS 3000 ECU on eBay and that solved his issues.

Yes. I have caught that. Thanks all. I think i'm going to bite the bullet, order a Black fob from what I can figure out and hope for the best. Results will be posted.

Bumping the Seattle area T4R thread ... I know it's an old one.
I'd like to wheel my new to me 3rd gen and a good friend has a 5th gen that needs to get dirty and a supercharged overland prepped T100 might join as well.
How's Tahuya these days? Suitable for a couple of stock trucks with A/T tires or will we need lifts and sliders before venturing out there?

Tahuya is always a good time and can be done with stock lift and stock tires. My buddy Ben went out with us in his stock 5th gen and had zero problems. Have some basic recovery gear and have a great time. May have to get out there with y’all. Been a while since I was there.
