i went up later in the day (1ish) my master cylinder puked its guts last night and also CANNOT find where to get a forest pass but found out once i was up there they had day passes available

I seen a couple 4runners leaving the area when i went up, i went to Evans creek meeting area with the bathrooms and stuff and turned around, a 5thgen pulled in when i left

I think REI is out of the annual pass, but I believe they still have day passes. Ranger Stations have them as well.

alot of surplus army stores have both, day passes are only $5 and you can choose anyday, you just write it in when you choose.

The NW forest passes can be bought at many gas stations too - I had to buy my the day of the trip on the way up because I didnt realize that mine had expired.

I'm also contemplating goin back up in two weeks... very tentative for now. It was great to meet everyone! Definitely need to do it again soon.
