wow.. sorry to bring this back from the dead.. but I was reading through this thread, since im a local.. I bought mine from Drive auto center.. and boy are you right.. they import them from back east.. I am from PA so I saw the evil signs of their rusty fleet right away.. luckily I bought one from them that lived in Pullman all of its life.. so shes in great shape.

Glad you knew what to look for and that you found a good one. Too bad that most don't and they continue to take advantage of people everyday.
 
Are you buying it? Nice... You got a good buy. I saw you asking about it over on expo and was wondering if the owner was on here. Is this your first runner?

yup I'll be at seatac at 10 tomorrow. I agree on the good buy, apparently the owner is VERY meticulous. I don't know if he is a member on here...If so, i've never seen him post over here.

It is my first 4runner. I have been in the market for a rig for a few months, almost went with a WJ for the solid axle, but decided having better streetability, ability to drive dirt roads at more speed, and obviously #1 much better reliability I went for the Toy!!!

I'm extremely stoked, I didn't want to finance a vehicle so I stuck with the tried and true 3rd gen. i'll probably keep it for a good while unless a 4th gen magically fell in my lap lol.

I just made a build thread on here with my plans and will provide updated pics as mods happen.

Hey, thanks a ton for the offer! I just now saw this message...The owner was nice enough to pick me up, spent a couple hours up in the Seattle area and made my way back home. The drive was long, but well worth it. Not to mention the truck did awesome!

Time for some sleep
 
Congrats ! Sweet deal you got there.

Just got my 1st 3rd gen a month ago. This will be my 3rd one. First one was a 1st gen that I flipped 3 and a half times . Second one was a 1st gen also and I sold it to get the 3rd gen.
