Second std tank where spare normally go's.

I have a 93 V6 petrol that has duel fuel (LPG tank where the spare normally is underneath). I have a parts 4runner and want to remove the LPG system and fit the second standard fuel tank I have, underneath where the LPG tank is.

There's aprox 1000mm between the chassis rails, and the std fuel tank is under that in length.

Has anyone done this before to double the fuel range as you can't spend much time out bush between fuel stops which is now limiting the adventure I have and aftermarket tanks cost a fortune.

This is something I feel is a straightforward job that I can do at home. If anyone has any info at all that'd be great.

Thank's, Beau

Lots of guys here in the US use a Ford F150 tank in the spare tire location. I don't know of anybody that's used a second 4Runner tank, but if it fits, go for it.

I have a 2nd stock tank on my 83 truck, but it's mounted on the opposite side of the truck, mirroring the stock location.
But if you can fit it in the back, go for it.
