Security Button? '06 Sport

What is the red (about 1/4" in diameter) button that is on the lower left dash (about 7:00 from the steering wheel)? I've looked in my owners manual but couldn't find anything about it. What is the function and what does it do, in and out (when out it blinks red).

This 4R is new to me...

Edit: I forgot to mention that I bought this from a colleague who has since moved back to the UK. When I asked him, he said he didn't know; bought the vehicle new that way from the dealer.

I had something similar in my Tacoma, which had the Securikey+ aftermarket system installed that alot of Texas-region trucks seem to get. I never did figure out what that button did, though I did set off the alarm more than a few times while fiddling with it.
