service and maintenance for 220k mile truck

So I just bought a 1991 4runner 3.0 4x4 automatic with 220k miles. I don't know the history of the truck but I want to do some maintenance to it. What is recommended at this milage?

Oil change?
Coolant?
Spark plugs?
Transmission?
Etc...

Also, I see water dripping from the exhaust when I first turn it on.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Oil change.
(seafoam vac. treatment helped ALOT with mine)
trans/transfer flush and fill.
brake fluid flush and fill.
coolant system flush and fill.
air cleaner.
diff fluid change.
grease drive shaft u-joints.
fuel filter.
Plugs/wires.
PCV Valve.
Clean Air Flow Meter.
A valve tune up.
belts if they haven't been done.

im sure im forgetting some stuff.

water dripping from the exhaust is perfectly normal during start up.

Some one told me the transmission can possibly start slipping if I do a flush? is this true.

brake fluid flush and fill.
any brake fluid in particular?

diff fluid change.
what diff fluid should I use? will it be the same for front and rear diff


I am pretty new to all this so I will have lots of questions lol

I use amsoil synthetic 5w-30 it work well plus a wix filter a high mileage additive like slick 50 would also help.

no not really any brand will do IIRC the second gens take dot 4.

diff fluid change.

Amsoil or Redline synthetic 75-90 or 80-90. yes it will be the same front and back.

Cool thanks. Also my check engine light just came on.. It flashes 2x then 5x. I looked it up and seems to be air flow sensor and oxygen sensor. I believe there is two oxygen sensors should I replace both?

for the Air Flow Sensor Take it out and give it a good cleaning with MAF cleaner. That should probably take care of that.

Also IIRC my second gen had one o2 sensor. But my 3rd gen has 2... if yours has 2 the front o2 is more important to change than the back one but changing both out isn't that expensive and can yield better gas mileage.

Okay looks like I screwed up. How the hell does the pcv valve come off?. I spent a few hours just trying to get it off was basically impossible.. So then I started to tear off the rock hard rubber around it. Finally I broke off all the rubber around it, next thing I know the pcv valve falls into the valve cover and still cannot pull it out. Almost giving up on this. Any ideas

"Should" just pull out. And I would use delo 15w40 or just regular oil with a break in additive to keep cams alive.

Hmm definitely did not just pop right out.. So now I have to remove the valve cover right? How hard is that to do, is it fairly simple?

The drivers side is very easy the passenger side you have to pull the intake plenum off

So for sure I am need gaskets for the intake and valve cover right?... Anything else I would need? Anything I need to know or tips.
