shaking tranny shifter

while driving my shifter shakes like for example when going over an uneven road. it's like my tranny is directly connected to the suspension.

should it not be doing this and is this not good or what?

It's completely normal.


Oh and by the way, not to be rude, but try using the "search" function first next time. There is a good chance a question has already been answered if not once, but multiple times...at least to some extent anyway.

i believe the consesus is that it is normal for some front-back movement of the shifter. mine's done it since new, and still does is 113k later.

I am a 5 speed 4wd and mine also does this and yes every forum I am reading says it is absolutely nothing to worry about.

I agree the folks over here on T4R are most helpful and they don't chime in when they don't know something.
