That's good looking; I do agree, dark gray to match the interior would look better, but the texture is spot-on. Didn't think they had a vinyl with an interior texture like that but it's perfect

I didn't either, and pattern held up well even after stretching it. The downside, adhesion sucks after multiple stretching and repositioning.

Well I bit the bullet and bought the factory sub enclosure. A little sound deadening and sample the stock jbl.... Not bad at all! Powered off my rf prime 500, hits pretty good. The sub bass is not there, but probably better than an under seat mini sub. Waiting for my subwoofer spacer to arrive.

Removed some internal bracing. Added poly-fil. Sounds much better than stock. Tighter, deeper and more controlled. Now the beauty panels

I an really interested in changing my stock sub to the JL you have. Do you think it would perform well with the stock JBL sub amp?

With an enclosure that small wouldn't a ported sub make it worse? i thought you needed like 1 cubic foot for a ported 8" enclosure, versus .25 cubic foot for an enclosed 8" sub with batting?
