Roam Case Mounts
These are designed to mount Roam 83l and 95l cases directly to your roof rack with no modification to the case. Still lockable and can open and close the case while mounted.

I also wanted to announce some major news for Sherpa that we have been working on the last 6 months.​

We have been growing so fast thanks to all of our amazing customers and with that growth, we needed more space. We moved less than a year ago to a 4,800 Square foot shop to accommodate growth and keep up with production. With current demand, we filled that space in months. Having been pressed thin for almost a year, we are happy to announce we are moving into our new home. We are moving Sherpa into 27,000 square feet with big plans to crank up production, drop lead times, increase quality and continue to provide the industry-leading rack system for your vehicles and much much more.

This building was built in the 60's so there is work to be done. The move also won't be happening overnight. We will be moving in stages throughout July and August to minimize any impacts on production and shipping times. Our goal is to not have it affect any of our customers. It's a lot to wish for but we are doing everything in our power to make that happen. That being said, once the move is done this will increase the capabilities of our team immensely and allow for our team to grow. All of these improvements among other fun stuff to come will mean a much better customer experience for you all!

Are you guys staying in Loveland? Looks like maybe a building on the south end of town on 402?
 
This is awesome to see. You guys at Sherpa have astounding customer service and the product quality is just remarkable; the aesthetics are the cherry on top. Keep up the good work and continue offering new products for the 5th gen!

We will be in Berthoud come August. We will announce once the move is final and we are operating out of the new location. Basically downtown Berthoud though!

Great news on the new facilities. Definitely super happy with my rack and excited to see what new products you all are able to cook up.

Curious though - in your post you mention "increase quality". Wondering where you think you need to make improvements in quality. When I think of my rack, being in need of quality improvement is definitely not one of the things that comes to mind.

We strive for amazing quality control so a lot of stuff ends up getting re-coated or recycled if it's bad. Mainly it will help decrease costs on our end of parts that get pulled out. That being said, some do slip through which we hate to see and we are hoping that gets put to an end.

The goal with this space is to handle everything from cutting, cleaning, and coating in-house whereas some of that is outsourced right now. Easier to keep tabs on everything when you are doing it all yourself.

my rack came with a defective rail, and later on i discovered some of the hardware was no good as well. it took some emails and having the rack on and off multiple times in my case to eventually sort it all out

i work QC in my respective industry, so i will say that how Sherpa dealt with the situation (they were aware of the issues and addressed it quickly) was indicative of a robust quality system rather than a deficient one. to see they're working to make it even better is a great sign.

in any case, I'd rather deal with a small company with a good product design and growing pains over a large company with so-so product
 
I ordered the Crestone from Truck Brigade on May 16th. It arrived on July 20th. I finally installed it this weekend. I tried to install it myself, but it's easier with an extra pair of hands for the side plates and crossbar. The rear and middle mounting brackets are vey secure with the roof. The front brackets feels like it has too much side to side movement. I might need to redo the front mounts in the future. Overall, the installation was easy to DIY. The online instruction and YouTube video made the process easy. I didn't have any QC problems with the rack.
 
I ordered my Crestone from Truck Brigade on May 14 and it was delivered on July 22. I installed it right away - solo - 2 hours taking my time. Wasn't too bad at all. I used spring clamps to hold the side rails to the middle/rear mounts for the part of the job that needed another set of hands. Using microfiber towels to prop up the crossbars on the other end also helped. The QC on the parts was 101% (got a few extra in the hardware bag - better than a few short). Packaging was also good. Drop shipped from Sherpa and took only 3-days to transit.

The tip I would add for the next guy is -- use compressed air or something to blow out the extra metal shavings still in the tapped holes on the ends of the cross-bars.

The other nugget of info is that the drop in T-Nuts are 1/4-20 -- so if you are looking to get more and keep them matched up.

I'll be mounting up an Autohome RTT and awning this weekend. That should be fun. My plan is to mount two cross bars to the RTT using Sherpas tent mount brackets and THEN lower the tent onto the roof rack and then screw in the cross bars from the sides. Wish me luck.

They are 1/4-20, but worthwhile to check the thickness. I ordered a bunch and ended up having to chamfer the edges so they would fit the triangular void in the 80/20 properly. Super easy to do, but if you can avoid it or don't have the tools...

My experience was similar. Ordered from Truck Brigade May 13 and arrived on July 20. Installation was easy, except I have a little wiggle near the front brackets if I pull on the handle near the front of the rack. The rack looks great and allows me to use my Yakima Rocketbox as well, which is an added bonus.
