The man knows how to build a truck. He needs to build a Unimog or something similar, it would break the internet. We will, of course, put a rack on it.

It is possible, yet unlikely that the nuts were cross threaded causing the carriage bolts to be over tourqed and spun in the crossbar. It does not look like that is the case though. Are you able to take the nuts off still? If not try sliding the carriage bolts out of the crossbar and see what is going on.

Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like maybe those are hex head bolts and not the carriage bolts? The hex heads are metric, carriage standard.

Got mine mounted up (and put on my lift) last week! Had to retighten things after initial install, but seems like its staying put now. Loving it, except it had a couple small scratches when it arrived, no big deal since it'll see some use.
Alex, you guys planning to update the instructions? At first, I thought I had the wrong hardware, but saw that everything was visually checked before shipment. Had to send off an email to make sure I wasn't missing the locking washers since the new ones are flat!

I know I said soon! But soon for me was today because this week was finals week and we also sent out a huge amount of orders this week which is AWESOME! So we at RMRacks have been busy busy between this and school.
So here it is! We have updated the Matterhorn feet to match the rest of our racks that our being made for other vehicles. These feet will be available on our website next week (price is TBD). All orders placed from now on will ship with these. The front levelers will stay the same as we have not had any reported issues or found any issues with the new adhesive we are running.
These feet will mount to the older style racks, you will have to move the mounting cross bars to allow these to sit on the tracks all the way. All the new racks account for this and can mount as per the instructions.
The added benefit of these feet is it distributes the load much better across the tracks. Looks better, and well. It looks better. If you run a really heavy tent or often use your rack for hauling heavy loads upwards of 200 pounds you will notice the difference between these and the old style. All other applications the difference will be minor.
Overall, we are really happy with how they have turned out and are excited to offer them to our old customers and new.

Looks great! We are sorry to hear that it received some scratches, we try to pack them as best we can to avoid any damage during shipping. We are glad to hear that it has plans to be used well!
The instructions will be receiving an entire overhaul as things have changed quite a bit. They are extremely time consuming for us to make but we hope to have updated ones with exploded views of the CAD assembly along with other visuals within the coming weeks now that school is wrapped up for break.
We did take out the lock washers as we have found they actually don't provide any added benefit in their application and the flat washers provide better protection from the bolt marring the rack. There are also changes to the fairing crossbar as can be seen, we switched to using the same crossbar throughout the rack as the small ones were sourced from 80/20 who has given us nothing but problems. We now get all of our extruded aluminum from a local distributor who is very passionate and involved with our business that provides us with a much higher quality product.

Our GX470 rack is finished and available. Really happy with the final product.

Took all the nuts off. I'll have to pull the bolts out and see if I used the right ones.

This may be the issue. I'll take a look tonight. There were a bunch of carriage bolts left over when I got stuck here...
