Shimming Accumulator Springs

I'm Getting ready to do this. How thick should I make the shims? I've read 8mm for firm shifts and 10 mm for hard shifts. Thoughts......

No idea about the shims, but I'd be a little weary of digging into the transmission. Are you taking 'er to the drag strip, and you need faster shifts?

Id make small steps if I were you. Don't jump straight from stock to thick shims.

Also, I'd only do this if you are really good with mechanics work and have worked on transmissions before (which you probably aren't if you are asking our advice, no offense intended, it's just reality) or if you having a serious problem and this will fix it. Otherwise, Id just learn to be happy with soft shifts.
