Shock Adapter question

As per suggestion from Toytec to solve my aggravating issue of having my upper shock mount adapter on my billies 5125 loosen up and rattle so often, I'm going to try and double nut each of them in the hopes that it'll stop loosening up... Now my question is, given that it's -20 here in Minnesota and I don't have my tools with me, what size are the top nuts( the part that goes through the body mount) so I can get two more locking nuts and drop them off at the shop so they can get it done, hopefully once and for all

I've already tried the red loctite route, the breaker bar route, the impact gun route and the washer route..... Threads are not damaged at all... With all the potholes here and the snow, it's driving me insane

I want to say that it's a 5/8 inch coarse nut but I'm not sure

I had the same problem initially. If I recall, that top mount uses a 19mm or 3/4 nut.

I currently have the same issue, installed them 2 months ago and they went loose after 5 weeks. I'm going to try and tighten them up this coming wknd so any advise is more than welcome.

I'm not sure if Toytec makes them in house or if they're the same one that pro-comp sells... The procomp ones states it is 5/8

I confirmed with toytec they are made in house and it's the same size 5/8

Sweet, thanks for the confirmation... Went out and bought two 5/8-18 nylock locking nuts to double nut the nuts that are already on the stem... The big box stores didn't have them but ACE did in their speciality section.

Gonna drop them at the shop tomorrow . ......-20 weather prevents me from doing it myself

Blue loctite should work instead of doing a double nut.

It's always a good habit to put blue loctite on everything and torque to specs.

Or put a lock washer on. I would take off the old nut, put a lock washer and lock tite with a regular nut and call it good (or use two nuts like a jam). Putting on lock nuts, let alone two, is just a pain in the ass when there is much more simple solutions.
