My '95 4-runner has more than 150,000 miles on it. Since I bought it a year ago used, I don't know how old the shocks may be. Although they seem alright with the bounce test, I am considering replacing them. I have recently rebuilt a '89 Riviera and rode back from Florida to Cape Cod with it. I spent about a grand replacing the original struts and shocks. It rides well. When I returned I put my 4-runner back on the road and it feels rather loose in comparison. Will new shocks make a difference or is this just the nature of the beast?
