Short air intake for dual batt

Hey everyone. I'm looking for advise on making or purchasing a short air intake so I can install a second battery where the air box was. I've looked around, but can't seem to find the right parts online that will work for my application. I have a 99 4runner, 3.4L super charged. The issue I'm having is finding an appropriate MAF adapter. I think If i can find that, I should be able to put something together. Thanks... someone out there must have done it (I remember seeing in some dual battery thread a pic of someone who had done it).

No one else has successfully installed a short air intake on. 99 or later??!!

I believe tarsun has posted the picture recently but on a different subject, that was for a remote oil filter. You might be able to find a pic that way.
so not to open a can of worms or a discussion on the merits of air filters. I ran the spectre system. However I was having issues with the airfilter itself, so this sounds weird, I put the old air box back in, took the spectre intake tube and cut it shorter to work with the stock filter housing. I did this because I like the looks of the chrome intake and it gets rid of that big box on top of the engine....and that is a can of worms on the merit of the big box.

Others who have wanted to get rid of the big air box have gone to a muffler shop and had them make a piece to splice in to the stock pipes . wonder if you can have something like that made up to suit your needs

Here's a thread I found with lots of photos of setups, one guy does have a short intake. Looks to me like Spectre intake parts, could be wrong though.

An alternative would be to remove the cruise control parts and install it there if you find you never use it.

I pretty much did that to get rid of the big silencer. For this project I need to shorten the whole intake so I can fit a battery where the air box used to be. I'll def look up that thread though, thanks.

Yeah, that's the set up I'm trying to replicate, thanks (was trying to find that thread for a while)! I think the issue I'll have is trying to find a section of pipe that I'll be able to mount the maf to.
