Short in Fog Lights?

Hi everybody I had the 9006 Hoen yellow fog light bulbs. I just replaced them and purchased some Nokya ones. I installed them with no problem. They worked for a day but now they keep flickering on and off. The relay and connection is good but I believe there is a short to one of the fog light wires. I was seeing if anybody has any problems with this with their 4runner. I tried to search but didn't find much on this.

You did not mention if you had the problem BEFORE you installed the new bulbs.
If not, pull and reinstall the bulbs.
If the twist plug was difficult to remove, you can try wiggling the wires at the plug connection point to see if you have damaged the plug or wire connections.
You also did not mention if the problem is with one light or both lights.
I may be wrong but I think a short would blow the fuse. It sounds more like a bad intermittent connection.

You did not mention what year truck is but on my 2007 I had the same yellow Hoen fog lights for over two years. Then the left light went out. I replaced it and a day later it was out again. Turns out the connector had melted and was shorting. I did not notice it at first as it's dark up in the bumper and did not even bother to look when I replaced the first light. Toyota doesn't sell just the connector so the dealer replaced the whole from light wiring harness. It was over $3,000 for the part and labor (covered under warranty). I would have found another way to fix it if it wasn't covered under my extended warranty. I hope this helps.
