My take... This is a t4r staff question that must be addressed and not an open forum discussion. The fact that you are openly displaying this is WRONG. If the said member voilated a rule, then follow your guidelines appropriately and do what is necessary to rectify the problem. Opening this up to the public is similar to that of a personal attack in my opinion which is a violation of your own rules.

my 2 cents

Lance, try and see it from my point of view. Please see the other thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21143

Thanks.

And i am moving this to "Polls" subforum.

Hmmm... interesting quesiton. Should I be banned? Well, lets see... it doesn't really matter if I banned or not. This will be my last post on this forum. Why?

1- The moderators here are obviously not very well versed in fair and equal treatment. Anyone that refers back to the thread that got me temporarily banned will see that I did not start the "personal attack" as it is called here. The person who did instigate did not even receive a warning, despite the fact that it was among his first posts to the forum.

2- I don't have many posts here myself, but anyone who goes back and reads them will see that many of them have been for the purpose of helping other members. Am I a know-it-all? Maybe to a certain extent. But the fact that I worked as a Toyota technician while putting myself through college to earn an engineering degree puts me among the more knowledgeable folks on this forum. I like to think that I know how to turn a wrench as well as understand how the various systems of a modern vehicle really work. Yeah, maybe I am a know-it-all. So sue me.

3- I've been a member of several different automotive forums in teh past few years, and I've never seen anyone get banned for something as simple as a minor little disagreement. I don't want to be part of a forum that will ban its members at the drop of a hat. Sorry, but this just isn't the place for me.

4- If I can't be myself here, then I don't want to be here at all. Like I said earlier, I have a low tolerance for BS. When I hear/read it, I'm going to call you out on it. I'm not going to be walking on eggshells whenever I feel like putting up the BS flag. Instead, I choose to not be part of the forum at all. I think it's pathetic that the forum members are forced to agree or keep quiet if they don't. I'm sure the mods are all thinking "that's not true, we can respectfully disagree", but that in itself is BS. Everyone knows that disagreements almost always escalate into some degree of a pissing match. That's just human nature.

So go ahead and ban me... or don't. Either way, I'm done here.
