Picked one up a couple weeks ago for $20. It'd been on CL for a couple months so I finally just got it. Still had $50 written on it in chalk!
Painted it white to match my truck, and will be adding a mag lite and fire extinguisher on either side rail. Then once I get a hi-lift ill mount that. I want to do something with a sub ala Blktpgsr's.

Thanks. Finally starting to get my color scheme going. The parts I'm adding in the near future will start to bring it all together.

Anyone have any links for a full roll cage? I'm tall and if I smash my front it won't be too pretty xD just looking for something to go by.

Maybe a stupid question/observation but I don't really see the point of this roll ball setup. I mean it looks cool but you loose cargo space and the minimized cargo you do protect survives the crash while you don't. Maybe I just don't know my roll bars but seems a full setup is best if one does decide they really need one? Flame me if I wrong

Ya I didn't do this for protection in a roll over, it won't so much if that happens. Mainly did it cause I like the way they look. Plus I plan on mounting a mag lite and fire extinguisher on each leg and a hi-lift once I get one. I don't think you lose that much cargo space...in fact check out Dirtco's above, or Blktpsgrs use of the bar...they increase storage space!

I guess it depends on what your storing..... if it's camping gear and wheeling tools and such... for sure... it works great! However, if you plan on putting a large piece of furniture in it..... not so much.
I've had a wall unit (entertainment center) in mine.... don't think I could have done it with a roll bar back there.
That being said... I now have my 05 Taco to do that kind of stuff with.... so I could go ahead and put that roll bar in now... if I had one...

What key words are you using to search. I figure being in Phx I could find some but am coming up short. Would be willing to drive to Tucson too (heading there Labor Day weekend to hit up some trails actually).

I think these are 1st gen roll bars so try something like that in the search. Off topic but what are some good trails down in the Tucson area? I'm planning on hitting up the San Juan Mts in SW Colorado during the weekend.

Never mind I see now that they seem to be from 1st Gen 4Runners. The last Pick and Pull I was at had a few. Might go check it out next weekend.

I actually haven't hit any. I heard the log road up the back side of Mt. Lemmon is decent and I have a friend who lives in Oro Valley so were going to try that one out.

Tucson might be pretty hot but Mt Lemmon will be nice. I have done that trail but heading down. Might be better going up. The paved way down (main way up) is more scenic.

Very true. I was leaning towards the increased storage from drawers for gear and what not. And how you can now mount items to the bar to keep them off the floor. But you do definitely lose space to move large items. Although I couldn't fit too large of an item in there anyways. Our last move really proved how useful my old truck was for hauling sh*t!
