Shrockworks appears to be out of business.

I have an open order for side rails dating back to first week in November, expecting to receive them in early December. Shrockworks did not respond to my email on the 10th of January asking about order status. Discovered this morning their website is down and their phone number has a busy signal. I have initiated a dispute with my CC company, they seem to be on the job. Very annoying, also surprising, especially considering that I spoke with them on the phone the same day I placed the order, and there was not hint of potential delays. My second issue with a fabrication business in less than four months...

Ah, the joys of dealing with small business. I want to support them in theory, but it usually ends up being a pain in my ass more than half the time. That being said, major props to those who can successfully run one without flopping and pissing off everyone in the process. I recommend you get your money. That dude is playing with labor laws.

Hate to see it, but having fooled with cars for many years I've seen it many many times. I have a Hellcat Challenger I mess around with and drag race a bit and there are literally a set of companies we'll only deal with. Too many pop up and disappear after taking your money.

I hear some people that got Shrockworks stuff in the past are getting letters from R&L shipping. R&L didn't get paid, and is going after the end customers for their money.

Aside from Shrockworks being stupid in how they handled all of this, those letters are laughable. I would throw those letters away and easily get them removed from any credit agency if they appeared. Those letters are just scare tactics in hopes they can regain some of their money.

I got my notice 2 days ago. I wonder how much R & L Carriers lost from them, can't blame them for trying to get money from me but I've already paid once and I'm not doing it again.

That is completely insane. As debts are debts and they need to be paid. Or I guess they can be written as bad debt...Still crazy..

Possession is 9/10ths and all that. I've gotten to witness from the side lines some no joke bankruptcies. The one they had some case study on even...... Well.... that's not entirely accurate.... technically chapter zero isn't a thing....... lol......

If they owe the shipper, they probably owe everyone that was on a revolving line. They've probably got a pile of people chasing them.

Sucks to see, but it happens all the time. People don't know when to say when. Just my arm chair quarter backing here, but they probably should have sought creditor protection way way before this point.

If anyone hears of the shop reopening or another company buying and building the Shrockworks designs, please post. I had been eyeballing a front bumper literally for years, and never pulled the trigger. Now of course I wish I had.

Shrockworks often had a 3-month lead time, even pre-COVID. It clearly isn't a COVID or recent thing. It is a horrible problem in the off-road world in general... take $$$ early, take too long to deliver, run out of $$$ in the mean time and go out of business.

I have no idea of the specifics of this instance though. I am glad I got my front bumper and sliders from them years ago though... good quality though long lead time.

Same here 3 mos for my Front Bumper as well.. shame though. I dont understand just firing everyone... take the people you have put them on extra shifts something... give the people(loyal customers) their money's worth.

customers are going to have to speak with their banks/CC companies for chargebacks.

when shrockworks was closed on 1/10/23 they laid us all off told us we prolly were not going to be paid for the last 8 days of working and best of luck.
16 years down the toilet I'm a bit pissed along with the customers.

The worst thing in life is having to look over your shoulder forever.

It would be wise for them make good as best they can.
