As for the Rigids that fit in the cut outs... I got a set off amazon for less than 200 shipped. I use them a lot now backing up or getting tailgaters off my rear:lookout:

Nice! I really like that you cut the bumper to cover the hatch area. Glad it turned out old for you.

I figure since the bumper is trash now, might as well cut into it some more. lol i think it came out ok.

so do your backup lights light up when you put in reverse and you can switch them on independently as well?

I'm running a Spod in my truck and have them wired to it. I use Air on Board switches to turn things on as needed.

Looks great, how long did the install take? Looking to store other items on the swing out, does the swing out rattle if there is no tire on it?

worked a couple of hours on friday after work taking out my stock bumper.
I worked most of saturday measuring and cutting my stock bumper, sorting out and identifying all the parts. and spent most of sunday relocating my icon rear remote reservoir, since it was on the way of the bumper wing enforcement bracket, that was a PITA because you have to drill a hole in your frame. and spent a couple hours today after work installing my tire swing assembly. I have a single jerry can mount but don't have a jerry can yet and there's a spot for a high lift jack behind the assembly. It does not rattle without the tire, the latch is pretty strong.

Great job on the install, it looks awesome. I highly recommend putting that spare tire as High, and Close to the vehicle as possible. While wheeling the other day, mine dragged in a little gully and actually pushed the rear swing-arm into the tailgate, causing it the dent and break the paint. The spare tire mounting brackets actually bent UP a little. All in all, it is fine, but my spare is now permanently angled and no longer straight vertical. Just a word of caution...you should be just fine

thank you for posting those videos, it really explains a lot with visuals. right now i have my spare set at the second hole from the top so there's one more slot that i can move up. as far as those 2 pieces goes, i don't know, i'm going to email them tomorrow and see if i get a response. i really don't think they are spacers. i used the thick washers as spacers. my next project is going to relocate the backup camera. i'm going to yank that back cover off and see what's back there. thanks again for your input.

FWIW, I've built two Jeeps and now a 4Runner using Shrock armor. I work at a garage part-time when I'm CONUS and have installed several Shock products on customer rigs. One constant ...Shrock always sends more hardware than is needed/called for, to include spacers/brackets/etc. It can cause confusion, but I appreciate the effort. Better to have more than you need than end up with missing hardware ..."thank you company that rhymes with Poison Spyder".

If you can't figure it out give Shrock a call. They're very helpful!

Help with relocating the ICON rear reservoir

Hey Samsung or anyone else, I am in the middle of this bumper install and also just realized that my ICON remote res. is in the way of of the wing enforcement. Exactly how did you move your remote res.? Where did you put it? Did you have to re plump/tube it or just unbolt and re bolt somewhere else? Any pictures, this seems to be a real pain in the ass.... I am contemplating just not installing the wing enforce bracket, it doesn't really look like it adds that much support except in a side collision, but hell even with out the wing enforcement it would be 10 times stronger than just having the old plastic there, just wanted to see how much work and what you need to do to move the rear res.?

great thread. I'm picking my rear bumper up this week. already installed the front and slider couple weeks ago. I got shrockworks to do a different hoop design. I'm loving it!! What are yal doing for camera relocation? And what rear springs are yal running? I currently have OME medium load, wasn't sure if I need to go up to heavy? advice?
