Shrockworks Rock Sliders 5th Gen lead time?

So, I am starting to feel like I have waited longer for my sliders than I did my Gobi. :shrug:
Without going back through my CC purchases I am thinking I paid (Shrockworks charged at time of order) for my (well I dont have yet) sliders back in April. Well, better said that I placed my order back in April.
Well, hello September, now working on 5 months.
I spoke with Shrockworks about two weeks ago and was told my order was at or near the top and should be next to be built/shipped...no email yet confirming shipment.
Anyone else have experience with this? Is this the norm?
Man, I am starting to think I should have gone with Bud - I could have made a 4-5 hour trip to see him before I moved west. :redbrick:
I sure hope the wait is worth it.

Mine took about 3 months. :party:

But it was part of the first group buy, which put the other orders on the back burner. They will come eventually.
 
Ordered mine along with a bumper in mid March. The sliders showed up end of July. I'm still waiting on the bumper. So yes, SW has a MAJOR backlog.

After waiting 4 months for my sliders and still waiting for the bumper I would still do it again. I like the Shrockworks sliders better than BB and I like the looks of the SW bumper better than the ARB bumper. If you want a popular product sometimes you have to wait. When I started looking at which T4R to get, the lead time was 2 months but that didn't change what I wanted to get and while waiting is frustrating, I ended up with what I wanted.

I'm sure you'll be glad to know that your sliders arrived back to our shop from powder coat this morning along with 3 other sets of 5th gen sliders and a mountain of other orders.

As slow as we do seem to go, we are constantly hustling trying to break down this wall of orders. You can rest assured that you will recieve a top notch product when you do recieve it, and we stand behind our product all the way. Any problems you might encounter if any, we will resolve. These are the reasons we have the list of orders we do, and the wait we have. NOBODY is going to wait for garbage when they could obviously have something else sooner, and for this reason we try our best to make sure we deliver the best.

On that note, we are making progress on our list of orders. This time last year we had over 450 orders in production and we are now down at just above 300, slowly chipping away at it and making steady progress after our massive investment in bringing all of our manufacturing processes in house. Our goal is to be able to hit 6 weeks and still uphold our custom built to order process, allowing customers to truley get what they want out of our products. Hopefully we all will see this in the no to distant future.

A big thank you to all of the customers we have on the forums. Thanks for your patience and support!

ordering form shrockworks has ALWAYS sucked! I ordered a rear bumper for my Jeep and it was well over 6 months.... with that said it was bad ass when I finally got it.
 
Great to see someone from ShrockWorks take the time to not only post here but to browse the forums for what peeps are saying and thinking about their company.

My 4runner is the third set of rock sliders that I have bot from Shrockworks with order to delivery times of a month and one-half to three months. I like the quality and even though I would prefer them to come sooner, I can wait because of the consistant quality I have seen.

Man, now I feel bad - you even called me by my first name. Very business savvy - customer focused...you won me over. Good stuff.
To add I have been watching clips of Shark Tank on HULU (had never seen before a week ago) and come to realize the challenge a small business faces when business picks up (a blessing and a curse).
I am honest and give credit where credit is due. If your product is on point I will be the first to mention and hold in high regard.
Not to mention - I put my "money where my mouth is" and if the quality is there then the price/time I am willing to pay/wait.

I went through this with them "back when"--I don't remember how many months (not weeks) it was before I finally got them. Great quality but too long a wait. Take a look at the BudBuilts--I have the hidden winch mount and BB armor and if I'd known then what I know now I'd have the BB bump out sliders instead of the SW.
 
Well, I will say that I did receive a ship notice on Friday for a scheduled delivery date of 11 Sept via UPS.
True to my word I will keep post updated and provide honest assessment.
So in that regard - thank you, and I look forward to getting sliders delivered and mounted.
I'll post more when skids arrive.
