Has anyone ordered these that has a non-Trail edition? I had a set of Shrockworks sliders on an 08 Wrangler, those things are rock solid and look great. I would like to put some on my SR5, but would be curious how much extra would be involved to make it work if its even possible...

If I'm not mistaken though - Harpers Limited has Trail rocker panels on it
The Limited and SR5 rockers hang a bit lower and won't allow those sliders from what I can tell...

Yeh it seems you would have to go the route 7Harper did and remove the rocker panel on the SR5 and replace it with the one off of a trail. I was curious how it would look with the bare rocker on an SR5 or Limited I guess...

Harper has pictures of his rocker panel removed in his mods post, Also, early on in the "Shrockworks sliders are here" thread, he has pictures without the trim. I have an SR5 and removed the rocker panel (pictures are in the picture thread). I like it without the panels. Only area that I dont really like is the front fender flare looks a little weird close up, but you can not tell from a distance.
Also BFLAN modified his SR5 rocker panels to make sliders works. There are plenty of options since they all have the same basic frame.
To each their own. Everyone has their own thoughts on how it looks.

Mine were supposed to be here Friday. Was very excited to install. Thursday night FedEx Ground Tracking changed the delivery date from Friday to next Tuesday June 2nd. Was very disappointed. For some reason Thursday tracking showed they left Phoenix, AZ, then Friday night, they somehow came back to Phoenix. Must have missed the truck or something to head on over to San Diego. Nothing I can do unfortunately, just wait till Tuesday.

Did you test out to see how the 'TE' rocker trim fit in place without any additional mods. I guess my question is would your TE trim fit in place 'as is' like in your photo below or do the rest of the pieces need to be changed as well? Would love to do the sliders but do not want that 'unfinished' look. Thanks!

No , I did'nt test it or take pics with just the black TE rockers installed.
I parked next to a a new TE at the dealership and saw/showed the sales manager that they would'nt match up right with the sr5/limited fender flares/front mud flaps. So then they ordered me all the TE flares to match too.I did'nt think about it and just put everything on when they came in.
It would look better then no rocker panels at all I think. I was running mine without the front mudflaps for awhile before I trimmed them and was'nt that noticeable except to me.
If it were me though and I did'nt have the TE trim ,I would probably cut the existing ones flush with the bottom like BFLAN did.Then you can run sliders no problem.

Slider install on Limited
Okay, I'm all thumbs, and I was still able to install the sliders on my Limited with relatively little cursing and tool throwing. Harper's instructions are excellent and helped me quite a bit. Here are a few additional pointers...
0. Taking off the rocker bolts underneath is not tricky, but don't forget to open the doors and unscrew the small screws holding the rockers on on from the inside.
1. You can actually do the install of the sliders yourself without a lift if you get on the ground on your back directly under the slider and prop the far end up with your legs or feet as you screw the first side bolt on (it will hang nicely after that). I'm not saying this was the most comfortable or practical way to do it, but it worked.
2. Oh, before you screw anything in, you'll have to yank out the clips holding the "hard lines" as they're called in the instructions. Then you have to find a way to zip-tie the hardlines away from the sliders-- I was only successful with one and am still working on that.
3. The sliders don't appear to fit snugly on the crossmember at first. I was kind of alarmed, but once you crank down the bolts, by the end, everything seems to come together pretty well.
All told, it took me about three hours total with absolutely no experience, so that means Harper probably got his on in about three minutes!

So I am trying to figure out what you did with your rocker - it looks like you took it all the way off - is that correct? Did you add some type of chrome tape to the bottom of your door or something or does it just look like that in the picture?

i think the schrockworks does a good job of "finishing it" haha
and i love the reflection of the toddler toys cluddering the drive way hahaha^^^
