Simple lift

Can anyone recommend a simple lift package? I have read threads for days. I've read about shocks and springs and shocks and springs and the more I read the more confused I get. So many different name brands and sizes. I rarely go off road and I just want to be up a few inches higher over my 265/75's. Thanks

Nowhere good to off road around here. Maybe some steep places, creeks to cross or a mud hole but no real "wheelin" Thanks for the link.

I'm doing 99 springs front and back and then Bilstein 5100s front and back as well. Small lift.

If you don't off road and your coils and shocks are ok I sell you my spacer lift. Don't off road in it though. Never too smart (if you're flexing. Just hills and mud won't matter)

ok I've got a 99 Limited so could I just use my springs and Bilstein 5100's front and back and make a difference?

Personally I think 3 inches is too much if your running 265s, I think it starts looking out of proportion. I wouldn't recommend the rough country stuff, I haven't heard good things about it. I just put a 2 inch on mine and would say to not go any higher than 2.5. The setup I have is toytec bilstein adjustable front coil overs and OME 906 coils with rancho rs5000s off a 4th gen, took about 4 hours to install with basic hand tools. I love the ride but if your not offroading you could just leave your stock rear shocks (rode fine with them). I only replaced them to gain articulation. There are some before and after pictures in my build thread if you want to see how it sits.

I would go with OME 906 springs in the rear and 99 talls up front for a mild lift. If you are still on the stock shocks I would get some new ones, KYB Gas Adjusts are nice.

Also, you could just get a full kit from Toytec to make it easier on you (shocks, struts, and diff drop). They offer to pre-assemble the front coilovers for you as well which eliminates some hassle on your end.

I think this is a good idea here. A nice mild lift that makes it look a little aggressive. You can get the KYB's pretty cheap on RockAuto and then find some 99 tall springs that are an inch taller than stock with some 906's for a bit of a rake. FYI not all 99 t4r's came with 99 tall springs. Perusing the classifieds here usually turns up some good deals.

IMO when it comes to something like your suspension, you shouldn't go cheap on it and it shouldn't just be for looks. Save up a little more cash and get some quality hardware. Buy once, cry once (for a while anyway)

Not really(no easy way). There are different part numbers when you search an online dealership. Usually they came on certain models like the Highlander edition, they were also pretty common on limiteds so you probably already have them.

I am using OME 880 with a toytec 1/4 spacer up front and 906 in the rear. KYB all around. I really like it!! Rides oem. Pics are on my thread.

Much stiffer than an oem or equivalent shock. I just put some on 2 weeks and there's a big difference.

If you're that worried about the $$ then I strongly suggest you just wait and save some more money. Sacrificing quality to save your wallet some pain rarely ends well.

If you want a good lift that will actually last and not wear out your springs(like a spacer lift), plan on spending about a grand. Your truck is already in need of new shocks and springs due to its age, so you might as well do it right the first time.
