Why do you want a battery kill switch?

For theft protection?

There is a couple write ups on starter kill switches, that would have the same outcome. Only negative thing about the starter kill, you my end up with a dead battery but that's better then a stolen rig.
Also a battery kill would alway clear things like your radio memory, clock, and maybe ecu I'm not sure.

Yup, would reset the ECU every time you flip the switch. Just like if you had taken of the negative terminal.

Another good one to tap is the fuel pump wire. You always want to install a switch with a relay though (power goes through one way, your switch is wired the other to a ground) so you don't fry your switch and then get stranded. Google "how to wire a relay" or "how to wire a killswitch" for ideas. Most important is where to hide it.

If there was thieves would also be looking at same write-ups on how to bypass them.

I'm afraid that except for generic google searches, you're not going to find very much for a 3rd gen kill switch write-up.

I prefer the fuel pump one since after cranking over my truck for several minutes it gives me time to get up out of bed and teach them why they shouldn't mess with my 4Runner!

hmmmmmm did you try this ?

You must use the google bar, or the search method in my signature to find out how. There is information out there.
