I know you’re asking for ski mounts... a far safer and better solution for your skis and other grub is a rocket box, buy or build one.
Safer: it is closed and it locks, no one can see 3 or 4 pairs of $500-$1500 skis/snowboards, you trust having potentially a few thousand bucks sitting in plain view? You can also throw your stinky ass boots, poles, beer (yep it’ll stay cold up there in the winter), among many other things in it, you can use it year round.
Better: sun, slime and aerodynamics, skis are up there baking in the sun or getting hammered with road grime, both are nasty on your hardware. Throw a couple of pairs of fat skis or a snowboard or two to do wonders for your already wind tunnel approved brick on wheels that a 5th gen is, I guess making it worse at this point well... it’s your gas mileage
But hey ski racks look cool and when you or your friends forget to lock one or both after a long day, it’s always fun seeing a couple of projectiles fly off and wreak havoc... ask me how I know? have done it myself and have seen it more times than I have digits.
