Skid plates a noises

Just installed full set of RCI skids, and am having lots of noises. Everything is tight but dang. Sounds like a high speed rattling in drive but stopped and some wicked wind noise. Have I lost my mind? Did I miss something?

Check where the exhaust y pipe comes under the transfer case, it can contact the skid and create a rattle.

I'm strait up on the crossover pipe. Is there supposed to be a space?

Happens all the time with skid plates to one degree or the other; seems to be bolted on as tight as can be, then rattles like crazy in reverse but not drive or vice versa. I had a slightly thicker custom spacer machined for my Budbuilt Tcase skid and no more noise.

Discovered it last night. Had the wife sit in the driver seat with the car in drive, foot on the brakes dangit! While I crawled around. First thing she had said when she heard the noise, is the exhaust hitting it? Guess I'll listen to the wife next time. Should get that taken care of by lifting the exhaust a bit at that hanger versus lowering the skid. Thanks guys.

put a hose clamp around the hanger and tighten enough to clear the skid. Problem solved in about 5 minutes of effort. Keep it on the rubber part of the hanger and zip tie it just in case it slips off.
