Ive kinda been on a hiatus from doing mods on the 4runner mainly because of work and partly because of new hobbies.

Thats me and my oldest daughter on my 2012 Harley Night Rod. I traded in my 2007 Triumph Daytona 675 and converted over to the dark side.
Now on to the mods I recieved my Rola Roof rack on Friday and installed it the same day. It was a pretty straight forward install and i only needed to reference the directions once and that was to figure out which way the mounts attach to the factory crossbars.
On Saturday I decidid to get up early, and when i say early i mean like 9am because i work swing shift and dont get home until after midnight. The goal for the day was to install my 1.5" RB body lift that had been sitting in my garage for the past year and a half. I used the write ups that you can find on the forums here as a guide and set off to finish this long overdue mod. Even with my fathers 3 ton jack and about 4 1" blocks of wood stacked on top this was still close to maxing out the height of the jack. I didnt want to take the tires off and put the truck on jack stands because i wanted it to be as stable as possible while installing the lift.
I ended up having to torch 3 of the body mount bolts and get them cherry red in order to spin the nuts off and them hammer out the bolts from the underside. With these delays and never having done this type of lift it took me about 9 hours to complete.

I still havent fixed my rubbing issue but it only rubs at about 90% of full left and right lock. Im going to have to do the body mount chop because while turning and the front wheel stuffed the tire and mount make contact and im worried about puncturing a tire on the trail.
I also installed some new Sylvania Silverstar Ultras in my Hi/Lo and Fog lights. For all 3 they were a little pricey at about $50 a pair. I originally only intalled them in my Hi/Lo beams and was so impressed that the next day i went out and bought them for the fogs. Now for anyone undecidid on whether they want to go HID or the more expensive Silverstars I have had both now. My HIDs were extremely bright but the pattern of light that was put out was really narrow. The Silverstars are also extremely bright and the pattern of light seems to flood both sides of the road. Flip on the brights and you can now see an extremely long distance. Im thoroughly impressed with their performance.
