$1000.00 for a set of bolt on "running boards" :wtf:
The problem with "engineers" is they cant detect sarcasm.....(so you don't think 3/16 is enough Stifler? Tell me, what IS enough?)
My guess is not many people here rock crawl their 4R anyway....
They really don't look that bad and Slee has quite a rep with the LC crowd for great products and workmanshipand over priced products. Probably look great in person.
The only real problem I see is they will only fit TE's without KDSS from the frame detail pics. Wonder if they know about all the Limited's Xreas stuff along the frame rails and the 3+ inch lower rocker panels on both the SR5 and Limited. It would take a new design to fit Limiteds,SR5's and TE's with KDSS.
anyone with RC experience can see those are not ready for hardcore use. Will they hold up to typical off roading and a bump here and there? sure.... are they up to Hollister, JV etc? not even close, I mean the arms aren't even boxed or at least gusseted. So while yes I have not used SLEE I have used many products and wheeled many places to know just by looking at them...This is the only sentence in the previous statement I can agree with. The rest of the post appears to be solely based on the observation of a picture or two viewed online. Nothing tangible based on seeing it in person let along actually using it?

No I am saying they arent REAL sliders and they are fugly... nothing more nothing less. If you are gonna call something a "slider" then make sure it is designed for that. Those are nothing more than overbuilt side steps... and Jeeps arent trash but H3s definitely are! lolI don't think you see the point I'm trying to make. I'm not trying to argue the strength of the said product. Only that your completely dismissing the product based on pictures, some basic specs you read online and your use of "many products". By that argument I could completely dismiss a Jeep or H3 as being trash. The only credibility I want is some first hand experience before calling anything "sub par and horrendous".
Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion especially with regard to aesthetics, but your claims of failure go well beyond that. They appear to be solely based on speculation and your definition of "hardcore". You did bring up a couple valid points, not boxed or gusseted. Do they need them? I don't know, I did not design them. Without using them I'm going to error on the side of Christo Slee. My experience with some of his other products leads me to do so.
