Sliding rear window

Yea I would definitely put my money on a wire or wires rather then the switch....we even swapped like 3 switches at my buddies property because he has several 3rd gens he parts and sells whole...none of them made a difference lol
That means you ruled out the switch

Hi everyone. I was just thinking about upgrades and this came to mind.

On the Lariat versions of the F150 and the King Ranch theres an option to get a power rear sliding window.

I have the XLT with the same 3 split window in the back but i didnt get a power window option.

I think i herd that make aftermarket kits to buy and install?

Does anyone have one of these or know were i can get one?

I think it would help a lot when backing my boat up to be able to communicate out that window instead of having to hang out the drivers door

More than once i thought my rear window was malfunctioning… turns out, if you have the window lock button engaged, it wont roll down with the switch.

Also, my key doesn’t work the back window for some reason. Have yet to dig into that

The rear hatch cylinder lock is notorious for freezing up. Try to graphite lubercatimg the locks in your 4 runner...:)

Every 4Runner has the rear hatch window that rolls down so what are you talking about?

lol for some reason he's asking us for advice about his F-150 in a 3rd Gen 4Runner area of the 4Runner forum

I don't touch Ford trucks so I have absolutely nothing to add in terms of advice:hand:

lol so check this out.....I had the switch actually disconnected and sitting in my glovebox so no one would mess with it. Well after you mentioned the key, I've opened/closed it a few times like that.

Sitting at a red light during todays lunch break, I just grabbed the switch and threw it on for the hell of it......THE WINDOW OPENS & CLOSES WITH THE SWITCH AGAIN!!!!!!! :lmao::shrug:
