Smallfrye's 2010 Trail Edition Build



Shrockworks bumper - 2 of the 3 3rd gens I had both just had the center hoop but I decided to do the full hoop for my 5th gen to change it up a bit.
 
That's awesome! It's one my list to explore.

ARB makes some 1/8" steel skid plates, they go from the front to the t-case, they are not all that expensive either. There is a KDSS version that is what I have on our 2012. They are still light.

A 3/16" steel BudBuilt is very strong, but also very heavy. Heavier the truck, the harder it will be to wheel. Protect it, but don't over load it either, it's a balance.

I wheel my Budbuilt armored '12 TE like crazy. Consequently, I do get 13.1 smiles per gallon though.....
 
My 4runner is going to look a bit goofy till the bumper gets installed on Friday.



Wasn't too bad doing the swap. I did the drivers side first and it took me a little bit to get it all figured out but the passenger side went a lot quicker.

Some stuff will be for sale at the end of the week.

The face-lift is now complete. Lights may come later.







Overall, I'm happy with the new look and still think that Shrockworks makes one of the better looking front bumpers out there.

The bumper will eventully come back off so the fill-in trim pieces under the headlights can be reworked. The shop that did the install was able to line up the pieces with the fender line but under the highlights needs some work. There is a little bit of fitment issue with the side pieces one sticks out a little more than the other. Other than that I still like it!

Only vehicle photo from the 4th of July weekend on a Montana road trip. Spent most of my time driving between Beaverhead NF, Helena and Whitefish mountain biking and checking out an old ghost town and mine.

Stupid speck on my phone, tired to clean it up. Photo still came out ok.

Screwing around on my way home from running errands, little detour up to an area I haven't been in a few years.
