smkd13's Build Thread

Looking good Ben! Man you have been busy, everything looks like it came out great, Im not really a fan of our trucks without the flares but i understand they are expensive and hard to find if you lose one.

The LR ucas are great, i have had no trouble out of mine since installing them in January, it looks like you are at the "D" position for the adjustment up top. You say you set them at max camber, so yours are slid as far outboard as possible? Wont that cause more wear on the outside shoulder lugs? What do your alignment numbers look like?

Nathan

Well yes you are correct that it is on the "d" setting and pushed all the way out. We set the cams to the neutral position from there we leveled the truck. When I had them align it I had them adjust both sides the same amount as to keep everything the same on both sides. Anytime I mess with my front end I get an alignment, hence the 5 alignments I have had in the last 2 months lol

But here are the numbers (the before measurement where a half assed alignment done but was not tuned because on my OTREs, forgot them in Utah. The after ones are what matter.):

Oh yeah about the flares. It wasnt that I didn't like them or anything it was more of they were eventually gonna get taken off eventually. It took a little bit to grow on me but I like how it looks without them

Well went up Snakes the other day and it was pretty nice to have everything working correctly :) but here are some pics for you

Looking good mate! Look like you are having some fun!
May I ask how/why you lost the flare? (So I know what not to do lol)

well as this is a R/R. when they replaced the front fender they did not use one with the proper holes. just some double sided sticky tape. as for the other ones that were properly installed, simply they were a royal b**ch to get off.

Nice. Is that Trokita's truck? He needs to get that beast out and about more.

That's some pretty good front tire "stuff" :D

Ha ha ha thanks ;)

You don't need that front bumper anyway :mullet:

Ha ha yeah it is just for show anyway lol hopefully in about two months I will have a new one :)

Yes sir. He is like me only really has Sundays to go do anything. He just got Fox COs in and they are sweet but he can't crank them up case his rear isn't up enough for them but he likes the ride better :)

Well, had a very successful week in Moab. Definitely was able to see how capable my rig was. We didn't do really any runs with the TW guys but we where there for a solid week. anyways enough blabbing and more pictures:

We started on Steel Bender (yeah my first trip to Moab was met by this trail)

Airing down to a nice comfortable 15 psi

Next, I experienced the fall:

Next up was Metal Masher which was cute short (buddy blew up a R&P and a CV on one bump)

Did a little leisure day and went out to Picture Frame Arch:

My buddy found the deep part of Kane Creek (side note, snorkels dont do anything unless you can seal your doors properly):

Looks like you guys had a blast! Awesome pics man, I'd love to make it out there someday. Did you have a spare to swap out from that sidewall puncture?

And onward back to Metal Masher:

Under-cut ledges suck and sometimes you need a little pull to get up them:

Other times you need a large pull lol (kinda high centered myself on my gas tank, time to relocate that anchor):

Last day was Hells Revenge and Fins & Things (yeah do the easy trails at the end):

yeah it is definitely worth the trip bro!!! and nope i am still running the tire, the sidewall cut the rubber part but missed the cords on the side so i still run it. i have a KM2 for a spare though.

So I went through and did a little bit of waterproofing today using this stuff (good idea if your going to see a good bit of water):
