I'll be updating this post with pictures and descriptions as the parts start rolling in. I plan on doing all the work myself, except for the installation of the differential parts (I'd rather leave that to a professional).

Starting off with a stock 99 sr5 sport/Highlander 4x4 v6 5spd. 271,000 on the odometer. Vehicle has been well maintained, and serviced regularly. Checked compression on all cylinders and are all in the 140 +/- 5psi range.

Have already changed out the front brakes to the Tundra 13WL's, installed JL/Rockford/Kicker/JVC sound system, gotta have my music.

1" body lift from Shootmymime (Thanks man!)

I figure it should take around a month to receive all the parts, and get them installed. Any tips/tricks/hints greatly appreciated!

Woot, first part arrived, factory fresh!

URD order came in today, more go fast parts.

Tires came in today.

4/20 Spent 4 hours taking unnecessary stuff out the way, and unbolting the exhaust manifolds. Damn Toyota was hateful when they designed the angles on these! lol Thank God for sawzalls.

4/21 Headers installed

4/22 Supercharger installed

4/23 URD PCU installed and wired up.

Rims/tires mounted and balanced.

4/24 Welded up and installed cat pipe

4/30 Body and suspension lift installed, put wheels/tires on.

You and me both Bandit! I'm stoked about this vehicle, hoping it turns out to be a solid performer. It won't be as pretty as yours for sure, I'm leaving the factory scratches and dings on it lol (previous owner). It'll just make me baby it when I'm out on trails a bit less.

With that being said, just got a call from the guard shack that I had a delivery from TRD....wonder what that could be. :frog:

Should have some tear down/add on's coming this week. Been waiting for a break with work to have some time to do all the mods at once.

Hey, it's like putting a breath of new life into a vehicle when you change stuff like that, I know the feeling! I plan on keeping this vehicle for as long as I can possibly keep it on the road, so I want to treat it right.

Side note, I had to laugh at what Barbara from TRDparts4u said. I called in to order some stuff and she said "ok, we have two different warehouses, do you want vroom-vroom parts or the icky boring parts?" I liked to fell out of my chair.

Not as of yet, I'm going to see how it runs with the 7th installed and a tune first.

Hopefully she holds together, it's got 270k+ on the motor. Did a compression test and it read 135-140 on all cylinders, hopefully that's decent enough. Just going to have to keep a close eye on it, make sure I'm not pushing any fuel past the rings into the oil supply. I'm pretty sure that's where the wear is, valve stem seals seem good, no smoke on startup.

I mean, hey, if the engine kicks the bucket, itll just give me a reason to build a new one!

Decent progress today so far, got the passenger side manifold and cat tube off, unbolted the drivers side, but ran out of blades for the sawzall. Since I'm not using the stock setup anymore, it's easier for me to just cut it out rather than fighting with the crossover pipe bolts. If anyone is planning on installing headers, I wish you the best of luck lol. The room on the drivers side to work is almost nonexistent.

Smokie---About the fuel gauge--Why did you focus on the gauge and not the #3 printed circuit board. My fuel gauge went kaput and changing the sending unit and suction tube did not fix the problem. The PCB is $220 from the dealer--I have not priced the gauge. Any advice??
