So I have been searching for a new 4runner for some time now and I came across a Blizzard White Pearl 2011 Limited with 17,000 miles on it. Clean title ( no lien ) and only one owner. The thing that gets me is this guy lives in Arkansas which is kool but he is selling the car for $26,000???? This price is somewhat insane to me!! What do you guys think about the situation?? Thanks again

Yeah i'm definitely going to do a carfax! It is 4wd fully loaded! Sounds good but I think I need to do more investigation.

I would try and get in touch with them and see what the situation is. Maybe they owe on it, and just want out quickly for what they owe. Could be lots of different situations, but I would try and call or email them.

Are you thinking about having it transported back to Seattle? If that is the case, and you are serious about buying it, I would make the trip and go see it.

I already spoke with him through email and ask all the necessary questions. Here is his reply:

Hello Mark,

I am glad that you are interested in my car. I am willing to sell it for $26,000. Here are more pics with it. The car is registered on my name and the title is clear (no lien). First of all please let me know where are you located ?
I will also need to know if you require a loan ? Or the funds are available ?

Here is the reason why:

Mark ,
The overall condition of the car is excellent. The paint is in perfect shape. There are no dings, scratches, any damage on the body or rust. The interior is also in perfect shape. This vehicle has been very well maintained has always been garaged non-smoker, no accidents
I'm in desperate need of cash due to several uninspired financial decisions, because of which I ended up with a lot of debts and with no idea how to pay them off. The car is priced for a fast sale, so it would be better if you don't need financing.
The vehicle is located in : FAYETTEVILLE, AR . The shipping can be arranged . I will handle and cover all the shipping expenses if needed .

Thank You !

If he really wanted cash, why wouldn't he just take it to Car Max? They'd offer him more than $26k for sure. Sounds fishy.

Run.

Yeah i'm running away from this! I'll just go buy a new TE or SR5 and feel alot better about it! Thanks for everyone's input!!

That is a scam. A deal like that is simply too good to be true. There are plenty of companies out there that would offer him cash on the spot for that vehicle.

Think about it not many people can show up at the dealer with a $40k cashiers check, especially not someone who has a bunch of debts.

My recommendation since you are in Seattle is to contact Tom Scott in Nampa, ID. They beat the price of all the Seattle dealerships by $2000. We looked in the Seattle area for our vehicle since we have family in the area and no one would beat the price of the local dealer. I contacted nearly all of the Toyota dealer's in the PNW and Tom Scott was the cheapest. I would even be happy to give you a ride from the airport.

Totally agree with you! Thanks I will definitely check out Tom Scott! I have looked everywhere in Seattle and found that the price was a little steep compared to other states. Thanks for the Info Friend!!

Yep definitely a scam! Ask him if he was willing to let me test drive it and said he was on a business trip and it would be a hassle for him to fly back unless I was serious lmao... His post on eBay is gone too lol
