Snapped antenna at the threads on a 5th gen

Went Wheeling yesterday and got into some insane vegetation... Never mind the Texas pin-gouges (not stripes) I got in the paint, the OEM antenna got snapped off by a tree limb sliding over the hood. It snapped off half way down the threaded portion, so I still have half of the thread down inside the mount. Anyone know how to get this out.... Or am I replacing the entire mount?

Try an easy-out/thread extractor first, since you didn't really seize the part or overtighten it, it should come out easily.

Otherwise you're going to have to replace the antennae mast assembly.

Bar getting it out with the extractor, last chance would be drill it out and helicoil it, which I think I would try every possible thing before trying to get hands up in that part of the fender.

The Antenna Base part is only around $35~ . If it is anything like a 3rd gen or a PU, getting the old one out is what will be the headache. Who knows maybe its easier now, come up through the wheel well.

...Hmm just checked 12 steps, and yes you go through the wheel well.
