Snow storm Samaritan

I'm the proud new owner of a 1987 T4R, 6" lift, 22RE, with 33's, locker rear. I drove home in a snow storm through NE AZ and came upon a few cars needing assistance. Some had Hwy Patrol with them already but one did not. I was able to secure my 25' tow strap around the bumper and get them out of the ditch. It felt good to help folks out in such a bind. I carry plenty of emergency tools in my "new to me truck" and ascribe to "1/2 tank is an empty tank" moto. Be ready to help yourself and others at any time!!

Good for you OP it's nice to help when you can. Your probably a braver man than I.

I like to help, but am weary of folks who are happy to bite the hand that helps them. I fear that dampens my helpful desires quite a bit and I tend to not help even when I could.

Also running across a few people who were rude or demanding when offered assistance has made me tend to leave folks to their own troubles.

I'd still help if I feel the situation out and think the other driver is a good person and won't screw me, but if it's a vehicle I can't attach to anyway, basically anything not a 4x4 or truck with tow hooks or a trailer hitch, I'll pass it by.

I am terrified of all the stories I read about people dying on the side of highways while trying to help others.

Either hit by drunk drivers or accidents.

I hope to never be stuck on the side of the road and I'm not brave enough to help someone on the side of a highway.

Yesterday, I did help a lady at a gas station hit her starter with a hammer (per her husband's request who wasn't there) and she went from no start to start
