Snowboard/other Wind Fairing RTT ideas...

Board's not mounted, just thrown up there to get ideas. The Yakima & Thule fairings are way too short, like 4" tall. I could use a cheap, used, shorter board (mines 5').

Or, I've thought about going to TAP Plastics to have an acrylic sheet cut, base would be at the back of the sunroof deflector. Top over the RTT by an inch? That'd measure 41" long (sit between rails) by 20-21" tall. Or a taller sheet that'd somehow mount ahead of the deflector? Not sure how I'd make mounts for it.

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated!

Ever come up with anything?

I’m considering a clear acrylic sheet but it would probably like quite dumb... I wonder how much height you’d really need on a fairing to get the wind to pass over nicely. The Tepui is ~12” tall so maybe something that was 8-10” tall?

yeah...that won't do anything and will probably make it worse. Drag in an aerodynamic system comes from the production of turbulence both before and AFTER a wing profile. What are you going to do for the after part? More snowboards?
