SnowRunner Build - Family Adventure Rig

Been on the forum for a while over in the 4th gen section. I sold my 2004 and picked up a nearly identically optioned 2016 Super White SR5 4WD with sand beige interior, third row seats, and premium audio/nav. Bought it in the first snow storm of the year, so that and the color brought about the name SnowRunner. My plans for this rig are to maintain on-road comfort and drive-ability while improving the appearance and capability on forest roads and mild-moderate trails. No rock crawling or paint bashing for this one for a few years at least. This will be the boat-towing, road-tripping, car-camping, child-hauling, everyday-driving vehicle for my family. Essentially a mildly modded overland rig.

The plan:
1) Plastidip chrome emblems on sides and rear.
2) Weathertech cargo mat for the dog.
3) 20" behind-the-grill or custom grill-integrated light bar.
4) LT275/70r17 C load tires. Probably Firestones once the Dunlops wear out.
5) Bilstein 5100s all around and possibly OME shims or Cornfed spacers in the rear.
6) Long term possibilities include sliders, skids, Southern Style Speed Slimline Hybrid bumper + winch, and a roof rack.

Lots of emblems to plasti dip..I have plasti dipped MANY things but just ended up getting the black over lay emblem kit instead for this car..cleaner look IMO

35% Tint to Match Privacy Glass

Had the front side windows tinted to 35% to get them a little closer to the rear privacy glass. I read around the forum that the privacy glass is around 25%, but I intentionally went a little lighter than the privacy glass for a couple of reasons. 1) It's legal. 2) The front windows don't look too much darker than the rears looking outward from the inside. I need good side mirror visibility when backing into my garage

The business that did them used SunTek film, which apparently color matches better to the Toyota glass since the glass has a yellowish tint. I don't know how true that is, but the color is pretty close. I'm satisfied.

(The pic makes them look a little darker than they actually are.)

Congrats on the expanding family and good luck with the build. I have the same planned use for my 2015 and am making good progress on my build.

Check out the canvasback cargo liners for the dog. I like them better because they allow you to pull up the 3rd row without having to cram the all weather mat into the tiny cargo area that's left.

I'm interested in how your suspension upgrade turns out as I need to stay close to stock height for garage clearance with our RTT. Looking forward to following your build!

Canvasback Cargo Liner

Got my Canvasback Cargo Liner installed thanks to the recommendation of several people on this forum. I initially planned on Weathertech since I've had good experiences with their products in the past, but decided to go with the Canvasback for two reasons:
1) it doesn't have to be removed to use the 3rd row seats.
2) it stays in place instead of sliding backwards against the tailgate.

Pros:
-fit and finish is excellent
-production time and shipping was fairly quick
-it prevents my dog's hair from sticking to EVERYTHING

Cons:
-the surface isn't as grippy as I'd like for the dog (he slides around a little)
-it seems a little thin, but I have no idea if that will effect the longevity or durability yet
