Anyone familiar with Slide Lake Campground in SBNF? Or that area in general as it looks like there are a few areas for primitive camping. I'm planning to head up for a quick trip this Saturday.
Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I've looked on this forum to answer a lot of questions I've had in the past but never made an account because I could always find my answers to the questions I have had. So I had been doing some looking around to see what people had suggested for removable doors. I finally settled to cut my hinge pins and make some removable pins. My next problem was the wiring, I have electric windows and locks and mirrors so as you can imagine there was a lot of wires going in and out of the doors. I wired harnesses and they are weatherproof. My last problem is that my windows themselves do not physically roll up, I've heard things like reset your actuators or regulators but I have no clue where they are and how I would reset them or anything like that. I'd really appreciate the help, I haven't been able to roll up both of my driver side windows for a couple months and all of my other windows won't roll down, and I'm guessing all of you know how much it sucks if your back window doesn't roll down. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey guys I picked up some used sliders and there are a few scratches in the powder coat to bare metal and little rust spots. Should I sand these rust spots and use touch up paint or can I just leave it and use them? I don't want the rust to ruin the whole sliders.
Shit, all this talk about sliders I should pull mine off while I'm taking the rest of the rig apart and repaint them, then have them welded back on.
Why weld if you're inevitably going to need to repaint? Just a thought.
Because I actually use my sliders and the RCI bolt on setup isn't that sturdy with a habit of moving up and blocking the doors after they've had the weight of the vehicle on them. I also had one of the first runs when they first came out for the 4th gens and they weren't angled correctly so the bottom of my doors rub the paint off whenever I open/close the doors. They need to be brought down but there's not enough adjustment without shimming them to get them to stay. Rather just get them welded.

maybe add some gussets to make em stronger when you weld em back on

X2 that's what I was thinking...especially the way ol Danny boy uses those sliders lol
