I think my neighbor used a Smittybuilt version of the same design. Of course, using that style of mount would depend upon the spacing of the bars on your rack. I have also seen home brew mounts made with flat stock and conduit brackets. A few bucks and 20 minutes at Home Depot would likely give you a decent option.

Diy custom. It is at least at this point. I bought a universal rack that fit on top of the rails but after making feet, plates, and moving bars I should have made my own. I'm going to cut and extend it around the sunroof to the windshield.

Don't you need a 20 ton for bearings? Should have invested in a floor/wall mounted coil spring compressor. hahah.

I was out in Rowher Flats with some TW guys this weekend. We ran Drinkwater Flats, Rowher Trail over to staging area 3, and then up Lookout back to Boquet Canyon. Unfortunately I forgot my camera (and my jackets, it was cold with all the wind) but it was a fun day. I had Robbie take video of me doing the steps which I knew I was going to do with the new setup. I've been down them before but haven't been up. Pretty happy with my new setup on the KM2s. I was aired down to 13 at this point.

Yeah that would be nice to have brotha. But honestly I have two different sets of spring compressors that I use and either of those with my impact I honestly can swap out coil/springs and all put back together (shock,top hat, spring, bushings and nut) in 10 mins or less. The problem is everyone is afraid to use them, there's not a damn thing to be afraid of at all if you know how to use them!! Like anything of course but people have hyped up the fear and scariness of spring compressors so much it's funny. Especially throughout here on t4r in general. I just chuckle ...at the weenies. Awesome. I ran up that part of the trail for the first time a month ago. I chickened out on that obstacle and went to the left :baby:

It wasn't as bad as I remembered it. First time I went down I ended up on my skids because of bad spotting.

I've looked at a couple but the prices fluctuate all over the place and I don't know enough about them to justify the difference. I know how to use them but that's about it. My assumption thus far is for a descent used one I'm lookin at $3-350 buck range and I only wanna make a front bumper and sliders oh and a ladder but I don't need a bender or dom tubing for that, which the bumper I can have made for me for 350 and sliders basically the same. So that's hard to justify buuuutt...if someone in particular [MENTION=77357]85straight[/MENTION] or anyone else even a few people wanting sliders etc wanted to go in on a good bender and attachments I would be down for that ...once we fab up all that we wanted from it just turn around and sell it for a return on your investment. Everyone walks away happy.
I wonder if [MENTION=128995]TK-422[/MENTION] has a bender by any chance. Since he's so busy with lights and shiiit now a days and not welding. Haha

I have nearly pulled the trigger on a tubing bender a few times for sliders, cargo barrier, etc. The cost of a good quality bender is manageable, but the cost of the various dies quickly added up since it was looking like I would need a different die for each project I had in mind. Used ones on eBay, Craigslist, and various forums were sold so quickly I never bought one. I don't need one as much anymore, but I have a few more ideas so I'd certainly chip in on one or for dies. I'd also contribute to rental beer...er...fee if [MENTION=128995]TK-422[/MENTION] is going to loan you his. I'd also like to get a notcher and dimple die set. Now, if someone has a rich uncle or sugar mama who wants to buy a CNC plasma table, there would be some cool custom parts on the SoCal trucks!
